From Waste to Strategic Energy

Waste Becomes Infrastructure

SynTech Brasil introduces a proprietary waste-to-value platform designed to fundamentally change how Brazilian municipalities manage solid waste. The underlying technology originated from the 2011 commercialization of patented gasification systems licensed through the collaboration of Michael Harrelson and Dr. Mark White. That milestone marked the transition from laboratory validation to commercial deployment, with operations now active in multiple global markets.

Today, this system is positioned to address Brazil’s growing landfill pressures, land constraints, and energy security needs. Instead of burying waste, we convert it into fuels, chemicals, energy, and reclaimed land for development.

Converting Waste at Scale

Landfills are among the largest contributors to methane emissions globally, and roughly 60% of landfill mass on a wet basis is organic material generating greenhouse gases. In Brazil’s growing urban regions, landfill expansion competes directly with valuable land use while increasing environmental risk. Upcycle’s gasification technology converts mixed municipal and demolition waste into synthesis gas and then into fuels, hydrogen, electricity, and chemical feedstocks. What is currently buried becomes a controlled industrial input.

The commercialization path followed a disciplined engineering sequence over approximately fifteen years. Site selection, patent licensing, laboratory validation, and engineering studies established performance benchmarks. Front-End Loading (FEL) design phases confirmed capital and yield assumptions, followed by permitting, feedstock agreements, offtake contracts, and structured financing. The result is a commercially proven system ready for export and scalable deployment in Brazil’s municipal and industrial markets.

Purpose with Precision

SynTech Brasil operates on three commitments: full waste diversion, measurable engineering performance, and aligned partnerships. We do not bury waste, and we do not rely on incineration. We design projects that convert waste into long-term municipal and industrial value. Our vision is a transformation of Brazil’s waste infrastructure into a decentralized energy and resource recovery network that strengthens local economies while restoring land for productive use.

Two Levels of Impact

SynTech Brasil creates environmental impact by eliminating landfill burial and reducing methane risk. At the same time, it creates industrial impact by converting waste into domestically usable fuels, energy, and chemical commodities that reduce reliance on imported fossil inputs.

Brazil does not need more landfills.

It needs infrastructure that creates value.

SynTech Brasil transforms waste into fuels, energy, chemicals, and reclaimed land through patented, commercially proven technology. Municipalities gain long-term environmental relief. Industrial partners gain new domestic resource streams. Together, we can convert Brazil’s waste liability into strategic infrastructure for decades to come.
